Richard I. Ellenbogen
Corporate and Securities
Richard I. Ellenbogen, Special Counsel to Feldman Weinstein & Smith LLP, specializes in a wide array of securities regulatory matters and the organization and operation of private investment and private equity funds. For three years prior to becoming Special Counsel, Mr. Ellenbogen held the positions of Vice President and General Counsel of EnTrust Capital Inc. (and its affiliates), an investment management and private equity firm with over $1 billion under management. He internally organized and served as operations manager of EnTrust's two hedge funds and its venture capital fund.

From 1989 to 1998, Mr. Ellenbogen was a senior attorney at Weil Gotshal & Manges LLP, where he practiced corporate law with particular emphasis on federal and state securities regulatory matters, representing start-up and mature investment management firms, broker-dealers and private equity and private investment entities. He also represented more than fifty non-profit corporations operated by a religious based organization.

From 1986 to 1989, Mr. Ellenbogen was associated with Fulbright & Jaworski LLP (and its predecessor, Reavis & McGrath) and, from 1985 until 1986, Carro Spanbock Fass Geller Kaster & Cuiffo. In addition, he served as a full time law clerk with two major New York City law firms while attending law school (evening division) and for a period of four years participated in the management and operations of several family owned companies. Mr. Ellenbogen has a J.D. from New York Law School, an M.B.A. in finance with Distinction from Pace University, and a B.B.A. from Hofstra University.
