Linda D. Lin is
an associate at Feldman Weinstein &
Smith LLP specializing in corporate
and securities law and reverse mergers
and resident in Los Angeles.
Prior to joining the firm, Linda was
associated with Keesal Young & Logan
LLP in California, and she was also
a Hong Kong registered American lawyer
having worked in Keesal Young &
Logan's Hong Kong office. She has handled
a variety of maritime and admiralty
litigation for ship owners, cruise lines,
NVOCCs, freight forwarders, terminal
operators and their underwriters. She
has extensive experience in cargo claims,
charter party dispute, vessel arrests
and releases, collection and personal
injury matters in both state and federal
courts. She has handled litigation
and arbitration in interstate transportation
matters, including but not limited to,
cargo claims, collection of freight,
demurrage and detention, and personal
injury defense.
Before Linda came to the U.S. from China
for law school, she worked as an assistant
judge in Dalian Maritime Court. Her
article, The Standard of Compensation
for Death and Personal Injuries at Sea
in China, was published in the People's
Court Daily, a nationwide newspaper,
on August 30, 2000. This article is
also published on the China Judge website
of www.jc.gov.cn. In addition, a case
she tried is published in a case book
by the Supreme Court of China.
Linda graduated from Tulane Law School
in 2002 with LL.M. at Admiralty Law.
She is admitted to practice in the State
of New York and a member of New York
State Bar Association. She obtained
LL.B and LL.M in International Economical
Law in Dalian Maritime University.
