Dov H. Scherzer, Partner of Feldman Weinstein & Smith LLP, is widely recognized for his experience in technology, outsourcing and intellectual property transactions. With many years of experience including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic alliances, Dov represents a broad range of established and emerging growth companies in such industries as financial services, technology, outsourcing, e-commerce and media. He advises clients in all facets of technology and sourcing matters, including licensing, internet and e-commerce, media, telecommunications and computer law; and related international privacy and data security issues.

Dov also maintains a strong international practice. He has been particularly active representing Israeli, European and Indian clients in the U.S. and in helping non-U.S. businesses to expand internationally.

Dov is a frequent writer and international lecturer on technology, IP and internet-related matters. Among other things, he is the U.S. contributor to two British treatises, Internet Law and Regulation (2d Ed. 1997; 3d Ed. 2002; 4th ed. 2007), and Electronic Signatures Law and Regulation (2004); and the author of numerous articles on intellectual property law appearing in such journals as European Intellectual Property Review and New York Law Journal.

Prior to joining Feldman Weinstein & Smith, Dov was a Partner and head of the Technology and Outsourcing practice at Brown Rudnick Berlack Israels LLP, and previously spent 15 years at Brown Raysman Millstein Felder & Steiner LLP, including six years as Partner and head of the International Practice Group.

Dov received his J.D. from Boston University School of Law (1989), where he was an editor of the Law Review. In addition, he received an M.Phil. in English from Oxford University (1986) and a B.A. in English and Political Science from Queen College, CUNY (cum laude, 1984).

Dov is admitted to practice in New York and Massachusetts. He is also admitted to appear before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. He is a member of the Advisory Board of the Oxford University Intellectual Property Research Centre and the International Technology Law Association.
